Christians: the only CONSISTENT theme in the bible is that the innocent must pay for the crimes of the guilty?

You just gotta love christianity. People who are good get punished for the sins of others. Don't you think that's just a little wrong. By the way as an Atheist, I try to live an honest life, but I see so many so-called christians who are evil that it just shocks me.
