How much is child support?

Okay so pretty much me and the father of my child have been having complications. He refuses to do his job as a father, & he has had numerous of excuses of not being in her life and excuses of why he hasn't bought her anything, claiming he has never does so fourth long story. When we try to talk to him about him doing more, & tell him what he's not doing, he blows it out of proportion, and us being young when it gets to far we start fighting like children and i told him i apolozie on my end because its unnecessary but he doesn't wanna get it through his head.. Though he just wont accept the fact of what he's doing. Though last he said he didn't wanna be in her life, just wanted to pay child support, to much drama for him, and his mom threatens us by voicemail which now the voicemails are deleted. Then he randomly decided to text me saying he is willing to do right and ready to come back FREE WILLING, jumping in and out of her life and im sick of it. I didn't have a father, and i am going to protect my daughter from him being a deadbeat. His first excuse for disappearing was because he almost got jumped by gangs and it messed up his "critical thinking"..now this time he says he felt everyone needed space when that wasn't true. Then he claimes when he said he didn't wanna be in her life, he didn't mean NOT IN FULL.. but didn't even state that he said he didn't wanna be in her life now hes trying to sugar coat. So now he says hes going to take ME to child support which is twisted, so I said go ahead take me ull look stupid.. anything I should be looking forward to and how much is this in full?? I was told in the end he will still get penalized for his mistakes..
