A few years ago I slept with someone I only knew for a few months 1 time (I don't think they had HIV, they never said, and looked healthy). 13 months after sleeping with them I got tested for HIV and it was negative, well 7 months after getting tested I got diagnosed with shingles. So was the test wrong or is 13 months plenty of time for the HIV virus to be detected? Is it just a random case of shingles? Am I guaranteed to not have HIV after getting tested 13 months later?
